Tau Moe’s Tropical Stars
with the Dr Jazz Vocal Trio Paducah, 1943 Guitarist Tau Moe and his family toured the globe for decades, taking Hawaiian music to Philippines, Japan, German and India, among other places, among other places. His wife, Rose, was his vocalist and they travelled to the. They made this record with a pianist who called himself Dr Jazz. Though many believe that it was a nom de guerre of Teddy Weatherford, the real identity of Dr Jazz was the American pianist Frank Shriver, another peripatetic musician.
